  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Feel so guilty doing this.

One of my lionhead boys has very wet poo's. They are eating, drinking and behaving normally.

I have spoken to my vets and got them a appointment for tomorrow. She is on standby if one of them takes a turn. The thing i feel guilty about is i have had to seperate them so i can find out who is doing it. I cleaned their side of the shed and put a part of the run between them. They can still see and interact with each other but they are really upset. They keep attacking the run section trying to get to each other. It's breaking my heart i just want them back together. I know its for their own good but god it hurts to see them so upset.

((((Hugs))))

You are doing the best for them so you can work out what's going quicker. It must be so hard seeing them rebel against what's happening. It won't be for long. Xx

Try looking underneath, you might find some staining around the tail of the culprit :)

I checked bottoms when i first noticed it no evidence on either one.

They are both now pooing normally but Brownies are smaller and darker so i think it was him. Keeping them apart for a while longer then will put them back together before bed.
