Two. If it wasn't for space and finances I would love two more. Plus once I move out from home I'd love to get one or two cats (I've never been allowed them at home) so all things considered I need to control myself re. Bunnies!

by 14 buns, that a lot how do you do it ? Im scared I wont be able to give my one I am going to get all it needs,

It has built up very gradually, I take in bunnies with dental issues mainly but also behavioural troubles (inc 1 who was going to be PTS because of his aggression and dental issues, he had been returned so many times :( ), and any others who have been dumped on my doorstep (3 last year :( ) or ones that my vets have had handed in.

It is hard work, and expensive with regards to food and hay and vaccinations/vet bills. Luckily the Mayhew in NW London help me out with dentals and charge me only 20-30 plus any necessary meds.. if I had to pay the 290 down the road i'd be bankrupt  even so, I have been in debt from vet bills but that's just the way it is for me.

I'm not working atm because of my mental health issues, so I have a lot of time to devote to the bunnies. Cleaning out is easy as they are all litter trained so just tip out and refill :)

14 sounds bad but as they are all paired except for 2 it isn't actually too bad

2 of my own, plus any boarders. The boarding means that I get to make a fuss of and play with lots of gorgeous bunnies but hand them back after a weekend/week or two...satisfies the desire to have lots of my own. For now. ;)

Possibly going to get another 1 to pair with my single girly but only if I can find an older bun.

My mum has 2 rabbits which are kinda like mine as well, I get to see them all the time.

My one seems a pityful offering to this thread!!

One is enough for me with all the other critters lurking in my house, plus i measured Flo today and shes grown another 3 inches to 27 inches long within the last month or so and takes up quite enough space when shes going full pelt round the conservatory!

Wow, I have three - 1 pair of mini lion lops and 1 single dwarf lop x lionhead. I love them all and would love another one to pair with Slipper, but I haven't the space, time and money (at the moment perhaps ;)) and my OH has forbidden me from any more buns. I did originally start looking for a friend for Slipper before I got Badger and Blueberry, but then there were two left in a litter and I couldn't decide which one I wanted so I got them both. Then the day I was supposed to collect them, all the bunnies belonging to the owner managed to escape from her new garden  I was upset to be losing the two bunnies I had already fallen in love with even though I'd never met them, so heavens knows how she must have felt :( So after a while and a bit more searching I got my Badger and Blueberry. Only had them two weeks and I can't imagine life without them already

Hats off to all of you with multiple numbers of bunnies, I fell like my whole life revolves around caring for my three so I have no idea how you cope with your very own warren!

20 buns - 13 of my own rescue buns all outside and 1 mummy bun recently rescued who then gave birth unexpectedly to 6 babies - they are all in my living room - the babies are 4 weeks old tomorrow and will need homes apart from maybe 1 who appears to be blind and deaf - one of his/her siblings will have to stay too with him/her if this is the case x

Urrrrmmmmm . . . well 36 actually .. . . and a hare.

At present we have two groups of four inside as we have an unusually (for us) high number of special needs/ill buns and are keeping a group of these together (all four) plus the other group of four contains two buns with problems.

That leaves 29 outdoors .. . in varying sizes of groups

I do count them quite often to check no other buns have sneaked themselves in!!

I am very very lucky that OH is dedicated to the buns and does at least half of the work (if not more) of feeding, collecting forage, cleaning etc

Especially as we both have quite high pressure 'jobs' (I am self employed) with long hours and time away from home.

PS my signature image is very out of date:oops:

Came here at c1 day old and was hand reared by my OH. She is now 6 months old. All attempts at trying to introduce her to the outside world have failed. We tried to take her out when she was about 2-3 months old to try soft release via our large rabbit run (36ft by 36ft) but she gets very freaked out and upset and we eventually gave up.

We wil now keep her until next spring and see if hormones take over and she decides to venture out. She has free range of the house except kitchen and bathroom so has lots of space - though admittedly not what a wild hare would have.

However the plus point is she is still alive and happy - which had we not hand reared her she would not be (she was found on the verge of a major A road).
