As above, anyone know how long a dose lasts?

I will ask my specialist next week but just wondered if anyone knows because I'm going out from work next week and sometimes have to work til 11. So will have to give Doughnut just two doses. I was thinking it may last 12 hours but was hoping for longer since her first dose will be at 7am so worried to what I will come back to. I guess giving a higher dose won't make it last longer, but obviously will consult with the vet first. Just wanted everyone's experiences on this as two doses a day would be a lot easier for me.

About 8 -12 hours I think
 
i'm not sure as we give the three doses a day aswell. does the injected one last longer? :? could you arrange to do it that way?
 
Not sure I would feel comfortable injecting, especially since she takes it so nicely from the syringe. The injection they give is a higher dose I was told. I've just asked my specialist so waiting to hear back. I know she's OK for 11 hours as that's the amount of time I am out of the house at work, just don't want her being unwell being left for 17 hours.

I've just asked whether to give her a higher dose, although I can't see a higher dose lasting longer or what to do really. I will report back!!

much easier when they take it from the syringe isn't it! i call it their lemonade. smells like that to me. :love:

Mark said to give her it twice a day and see how she goes. I can just give her some tonight which will be 12 hours and then leave her bedtime dose out. By the morning I can then tell if she needs it three times or not. I'm still worried about the 17 hours but I guess at least I know when I get home and she has a dose she will be better again. Why are pets such a worry!!
