Musky smell

bunkin

Warren Veteran
My bun is 8 years old and as a houserabbit smells are more noticeable.
He is a super clean rabbit and only uses his litter tray which is changed at least once a day.
Past few weeks i have noticed a very musky smell coming off him, which is different smell to the litter tray smell.
Can their scent glands cause a smell if they get blocked??

He is due at vets next week for claw clipping so should I ask them to check his anal glands as well??

38 views and no one can answer my question:cry::cry:
Never mind - just hope the vet doesn't laugh at me next week:roll:

I've just viewed this but have no idea but didn't want to view and run.

Good luck at the vets.

could be a uti starting up maybe? that can cause a musky smell. best to get a thorough check up and maybe urine samples taken if they think it could be that.
