Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Worried about Ludo's nose- is this normal? Please help!

Hi everyone.

Ludo's nose line has got really obvious since last night. He's moulting but not on his nose.

This was what it was like before:

And today it's like this, well actually worse as the photo doesn't do it justice.

He's not sore there but I can feel the lump of the bone.

Is this a health problem? He's completely normal in himself. Even my Mum has noticed and commented on the line...

Please help!

Moult lines can start to look a bit mad. Bilbo has two massive ones going down either side over his back legs, usually quite faint but they went pronounced for a couple of weeks. Pooka has one just a bit further up from where Ludo's is.

He is gorgeous

Does he have a cage as a base? Lola has a crappy Ferplast for her litter tray and occasionally she will chew the bars on it for what seems like attention or frustration, I havn't worked it out! (even though the door is always open!) and she gets that exact mark!

Otherwise it probably is a moult line!

No, he has an outdoor hutch, with main door open, as a base, not very stylish but very easy!:lol:
