Wood shavings vs pellets for bedding.

I'm currently using lavender scented wood shavings as bedding (with straw in the sleeping box) but I'm considering switching to a pellet (apparently they are 8mm and a blend of wheat and oil seed rape straw) and I would put a layer of straw on top of the pellets. I like the smell of the wood shavings but they do like to stick to my little lion lop and I've read that shavings can cause respiratory issues....

I've not used wood pellets, but currently use Fitch and it's the best bedding I've tried... soft, absorbent and cosy, and a bale lasts for aaaages and doesn't cause irritation for bunny noses

I use Fitch for the piggies and it's really great :thumb:

I just use newspaper with hay on top, it works great :wave:

Newspaper and hay here too. Best thing for bunnies in my opinion. :wave:

Newspaper, fitch, or finacard, or paper based pellets, newspaper again and hay on top!
