Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Think it would be more red like strawberry juice if it was blood but im sure someone will give a better answer than I! Could be what bunny has been eating changes the colour of their wee

Thanks jojo, just strange because he always does wees in his litter tray, looked at it on white white kitchen roll and it looks more orangey than red:;)

He has a water bottle and a bowl and both are being used but he isnt really a big drinker.......... unlike me!!

My bunnies don't drink much so when I give them their leafy greens I wash them and put them on a tray so they are nice and wet for a bit of extra fluid, parsley is good for holding on to water I have found

My bunnies wee looks like that if i give them herbs, dandelion or brambles......

Thanks everyone for replies benji has been fine so far, touches wood, he hasn't had any more wee like that so am assuming it's something he ate! He's currently chillaxing in the conservatory watching moto gp:lol:
