The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Trio Bonding - one rabbit not eating update - Holly has gone.

Hi Everyone:wave::wave:

My three rabbits have been away for a week to be bonded. The bonding has been successful in that the rabbits are all getting on. How Holly isn't eating pellets on her own accord. Whilst she was away she for syringed fed four times a day which I'm continuing. I'm wondering whether I should take Holly to the vets today for a gut stimulant. She is eating some amounts of hay, grass and vegetables and is also behaving normally apart from not eating. She has always been an extremely nervous rabbit.

Is she pooing ?

To be honest I would not be happy leaving her with the other two if she has stopped eating since being with them :?

And yes, I think she does need to be examined by a Vet. Hope she is OK. It may be that a trio is not an appropriate arrangement for her.

Holly is pooping. She going to the vets tomorrow morning for a dental. Today the vet gave Holly an injection of 0.1 of Metacam 0.5% and 0.1 of Emeprid. I've also been syringe feeding Holly and she's on panacur due to being away for the bonding.

Holly was put to sleep at the vets this morning:roll::roll:

I separate the Trio so Holly and Jasper were back to being a couple. Holly kept losing weight even with her eating small amounts and being syringed fed. She was admitted to the vets on Monday night but still wasn't herself when I visited her last night. The vets phoned this morning saying she couldn't even lift her head and recommended PTS which I agreed with. I wish I had never considered the bonding. It so Smudge could have a friend after Tilly passed away in May:cry::cry:
