Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Rabbits wash a lot so whilst there is only a little bit showing in the picture it's likely that he's actually producing a lot more. It's great you've spotted it early. That will certainly help with treatment. The vet will probably give him some antibiotics. Make sure the vet also checks him all over particularly his teeth as sometimes problems with them can show in other areas around the face as they have such long roots on their teeth.

I hope he's better soon :)

Ok, let me start from the beggining.

My bunny has been sneezing a lot since i brought her home.
I took her to multiple vets, trying to find a solution.
We even did x-rays to her, but couldnt find anything.

She underwent 3 therapies, since we couldnt get rid of it.

1) sivotine antibiotic + exocin drops
2)bactrimel syrop + tobradex drops
3) briklin injections + tobradex drops

The 3rd therapy is the one that seemed to work, since we got rid of the mucus, but sneezing continued as normal.
Since the bunny was freaking out every time, i decided to stop any therapy for about a month, but now it looks like the mucus is coming back(photo).

Any help?
Thanks

The only advice is to take her back to a Vet

If she has been off antibiotics for a month then a deep nasal swab may give some information about the specific bacteria involved and the most appropriate antibiotic to treat it with

With cases of URTI a very long course of antibiotics is often needed, sometimes as long as 6 weeks.

Thanks for the extra information :)

Jane's idea about getting it swabbed is a good one - that way they can get which antibiotics will kill it rather than having to work it out by trial an error. It would also confirm that the cause is a bug. I've heard a couple of cases with rabbits have a piece of hay/grass seed caught and causing irritation - which obviously doesn't show on xray.

Have the vets you have visited been "exotic" specialists? It may be worth seeing a specialist if not - if you are willing to post your area on here someone might have a suggestion of a good vet to try.
