Rook is a silver fox buck who is terrified of people. He often screams when he is caught
He is aggressive in his fear and used to leap at volunteers with his mouth open trying to bite if he was cornered.
He arrived at HH in July 2009 when his owner went into hospital. The man had 40 rabbits but we HH only able to take six, as at that point they had 150 rabbits.
He lives with Maya who is also aggressive. she, however, is confident and unafraid of people, which has dulled his fear somewhat.
He now just keeps out of the way rather than attacking unless cornered. Vaccinating him is quite a challenge, as is cutting his claws and grooming him. He seems able to turn himself inside out doing summer saults in his efforts to get away and is liable to bite at any time.
Fortunately he is healthy and its not needed to handle him very often.
