Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Hints for giving medicines..

Wise Old Thumper
Hiya

I am struggling to syringe feed my neighbours bunny.

The emeprid being in a tiny thin 1ml syringe is a disaster. I struggle so much it inevitably ends up squirting and missing his mouth.

Panacur I have managed to put on a bramble leaf and he will eat it,

Fibreflex goes on a dandelion leaf...

I simply can't get emeprid in him...Any hints for giving this to him without wearing it?

Any help/advice , welcome
Fee xx

No.. I haven't thought of that.. Don't have any in... My 2 don't like bananas but that's not to say little bun won't... emeprid is just watery though, how would I put that on banana?

Mash it into the banana and let him lick it off a spoon? I'm not sure of that would work but I can't think of anything else, sorry :( hope you can get it into him somehow xx

OH injects Jessie's stuff into a banana and she eats it like a starving orphan
He has also just squished the tip down into a grape, as soon as she tastes it he can push the thingy down and she doesn't seem to notice.

I didn't know bunnies could eat grapes? Wow, I have some grapes, will try that tomorrow morning,,,
Sounds like a plan..
