Oh my goodness I am so proud of Dotty

Georgeypudding

Wise Old Thumper
On the 10th of April we attended our first dog class, Dotty went for 2 dogs and caused havoc amoungst the others. This is her this evening

(I don't recommend walking dogs on an extendy lead but Dotty isn't able to be let off lead so she gets this when we're in a "safe" place)

not only does she get along with this doggy (Alfie) but she also gets on with another collie dog and they're able to walk side by side practically bumping into each other

and some more photos because she's cute

I'm over the moon  we're going on a walk with a bunch of other dogs on Saturday, we'd never have braved that before now

Sorry for my ignorance but what's bad about extending leads? Sometimes my in laws use one with their dog?

Aww well done to Dotty! Lovely photos

Nothing wrong with extending leads as long as they are used sensibly! :) Especially if you have a dog you can't let off.

Sometimes wil gets a bit funny with other dogs so if we see any we pop him on it and pull him in if they approach at all. He also has to be muzzled sometimes. I think he's going a bit senile, poor old boy!

I've recently started taking my dogs on 'socialisation walks' too :D My little dog Alfie is a pain with other dogs, he gets scared and his reaction is to run at them barking and sometimes nipping. He's def improving and is great walking with all the other dogs, but near home he's still a pain!! Tonight he barked at every dog we saw! It is lovely tho to see them walking with other dogs, I feel really proud too

I hate dogs walking ahead of their owners, and wandering in to the road you have very little control over a dog that is at the end of an extendy lead. I've also seen some nasty cuts from them where the dog has bolted, the owner grabbed the lead and it's cut in to their hands  used well they're fine but most people don't use them properly

I can't wait to see her walking with a pack of dogs, it'll be so lovely
