Vet advice needed north west ASAP

Hi can anyone advise if they have had any dealings with Birch Heath in Cheshire. Reggie has severe head tilt and so far good vet advice is hard to come by. He was admitted to Chestergate referral hospital who are now referring him on to birch Heath but I have no experience of this practice please help x

Are they near Tarporley? If so I think capel on here has used them and they are v good. Chestergates are fab and would only have referred you to someone good anyway

Thanks Lucas the Neuro vet has seen him and referred him on its is the vets near tarpley it's a fair distance from mine so need to check the reputation. Thanks for replying x

Yes, Capel has used them previously and spoke highly of them. Carolinemm still uses them I think.

I have used Chester Gates many a time (Richard there is very good, normally based at Cranmore next door to them and has an interest in buns).

There is also Molly Varga in Cheshire who has a good reputation if that is any nearer for you too (she is very experienced with bunnies) - she is just off the motorway (I believe) so may be easier for you to get to. BarbaraForster on here goes to see her when there is something her vet is unsure of (Alan in Woolton who is also good)

What tests has he had so far?

Alan in Woolton is my registered vet the main problem has been the initial problem occurred Sunday so had to go to Alder out of hours who are not very specialised. I seen Alan Monday am who diagnosed middle/inner ear infection advised to continue on with baytril and administered steroid injection he deteriated last night so I asked Alder to refer me to chestergate. Chestergate rang this morning and said he would be better under an exotics and refered to Birch Heath I suppose at this time I could have gone back to Alan but took there advice and went with it. Vicky at Birch has him now she going to try some kind of penilian and get some tests done he may need an op but only if she can stabilise him, the next 12 hours are critical just have to hope he pulls through please send lots of vibes I just hope I've made the right decisions along the way x

I have my fingers crossed for you. I've always had good advice from Chestergates although I don't know anything about Birch.

Thanks Shirley I'm confident he's in the best place waiting for the vet to phone for an update hoping and praying for some positive news don't know what I would do without all of your support and advice x

Birch have just called still no change no real response from the anti-biotics and the situation is much the same I just don't know how long I should leave it if he remains to not respond I the seeing him so poorly :cry::cry:
