What a beautiful spot! :)
What is that building with the ramp out to it? I've seen them before (I think in an Inspector Lewis program) and I have no idea what they're for. Is it an observation platform or a folly or something?
Dotty is adorable as always! :D

thanks all!

She's so cute! Is she a Jack Russell terrier? :)

she is indeed, or some sort of cross as she's quite big for a jack russell :)

The park used to be a water supply resevoir, I think that is just a building left over but to be honest I'm not that sure! I know it's Edwardian though, it's padlocked so you can't even get on the walk way part of it now which is a shame
I've been trying to find some history for you, I've not found much apart from this http://www.rushdenheritage.co.uk/commerce/waterboard6.html :) and there's a slide show of photos at the bottom of this page http://www.northamptonshire.gov.uk/...ages/things-to-do-at-sywell-country-park.aspx :thumb:
