Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Scruffy...Not urinating while outside in the run... help?

Hello everyone. It has been quite hot today so we have given the rabbits ice packs and they have them while in the run as well. We have moved the run onto the patio as the grass needs time to regrow. Ok so Dinky was out first and she did some wee and a pile of poops normally but now Scruffy has been out for 30 minutes and there is no sign of any wee or poops which is not normally like him. As it is Wednesday I am half cleaning the hutches (where they have been urinating/pooping) and I have found nothing unusual in the hutch. Scruffy has been weeing and pooping alright in there.

I may just be overthinking but I am wondering if it is an early sign of anything wrong? I am thinking about getting some panacur from pets at home on sunday for all the rabbits.

Edit - Ok just after I type this I go out and check on him and he has urinated. He had urinated so close to the corner of the run that most of the urine went outside the run that is why I couldn't see it from the front. I was getting worried. But I may still get some panacur for the rabbits.

Fred won't pee anywhere except his litter tray and will hold on to it for hours and make himself uncomfortable rather than go in a new spot , could it be that Scruffy is silly like him?!
