Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Small poo again:0(

Fluffs mum

Warren Scout
Evening all.

Binky is eating hay now and 90% back to normal however her poos are still small . We fought her home yesterday afternoon so I think she is still getting ov being at the vets and the drive . The vet did say to give her a couple of days and then ring if not 100% back to normal .

Basically I'm just asking is it normal for the poo stil to be normal at this time ?

Feel like a first time mum with a newborn !

Thank you again .

Yes hun! Statis can take a while to get over and can sometimes be a very long and stressfull time.
Jimby and Cookie have been going through an episode and Jimby is still not 100% 5 days later, he is eating most things now but not eating all his biscuits yet but hopefully tomorrow will not need medication tomorrow!
As long as she is eating and pooping then I wouldnt worry too much, just keep an eye on her.

Im nearly 3 weeks post statis, poos took a week to be ok, then went a bit small again for a day or so which worried the :censored: out of me. then back to normal.

Shes now eating everything and anything, Ive put them on less pellets and luckily we live at the side of a silage (sp) field so I am going and pulling fresh grass each day and dandilions.

I worry each morning about what I will find when I open the shed. Kids were alot easier.

Thank you ladies xx she is almost back to normal now and thank you for the reassurances.
