Just curious really as I don't think I've seen pictures of any?

I have two New Zealand Whites, they are not purebreeds though, you can tell from their wonky ears and they are slightly smaller too, at least based on what I've read.
I wasn't too keen on getting two REWs to begin with but couldn't resist these two after I met them, especially as the rescuer said no one had even been to see them because of their looks!:(

This is a picture of them from when they first moved in.

I have a ginormous, very cheeky, very stubborn New Zealand white :D how funny are your buns ears!

He is bonded to a REW nethie, but she is sadly rather poorly at the moment with EC.

Daisy is gorgeous! She looks like a proper NZW, none of the funny ear business like with my two! My buns are a mother & son pair and I suspect something lop-like has gone into the mix at some point!

Bess and George - your pair are beautiful

ripminnie - as is Daisy

Jaysmonkey - we don't get enough pics of Miss Gracie Goosie. More please.

Bex - vibes for your little girlie. I'd love to see a pic of little and large!

OOOOO...It makes me sad to think REWS and agoutis and black bunnies get overlooked in rescues. They're all stunning!

Awww poor baby, she must have had a hard life before you adopted her. Such a pretty girl, looks a lot like mine but slightly bigger!

Even I remember thinking before I adopted my rabbits that the colour is irrelevant as long as it isn't albino, black or agouti! Not sure why!

I even told the rescue I wasn't interested when they first suggested the two NZWs, so glad now that I changed my mind!

I had a NZW who was an ex lab/meat bun. He was originally called Pip but we changed his name to Bobby after he was in police custody for months. If you search 'REW 8' on here, you might be able to find out the story.

Unfortunately he has passed away now but he had a great life here.

ETA He is in my signature pic below.

Vicky still has 2 of the REW 8  Infact, i've just taken one home to her today after bonding him with his wifey  I must say, i could've easily stolen him. NZW's are such gorgeous rabbits x

Neither Frankie or Estelle have red eyes, but quite a few REW'S have lived here with me in the past. I think they have beautiful eyes which remind me of sparkling rubys.:love::love:

Hi Justine,

I Was wondering what breed the other white rabbit is in your signature (the middle bun). I rescued a bun with exactly the same markings around the eyes but she also has a black stripe half way down her back. I don't have no idea what her breed (or cross) is?

Hi, I never found out if she was a specific breed. Most people said she was a cross. She also had blue eyes as well as the black markings around the eyes. Here is a pic of the markings on her back.

I have a NZW called Casper and i have previously had two others! they are one of my favourite breeds as they are such gentle souls! I also had a REW frenchie who was beautiful but she was a bit of a fiesty girl!

Spenser is nowhere near NWZ size, but he is generally considered quite a big boy. He is a lionhead cross. I met his Mum, who was smaller than Spenser, so I assume Dad was a big rabbit.

Yes that's v similar to Poppy, I just say she is a cross, but wondered if she was a particular breed, perhaps not then..... she has one blue eye and one brown eye?.. She is v unusual :)

I've got Mumma and Auntie (Scoops Moose and Emilinia Goose to give them their correct names). Both large but as they have never been well since they arrived here, very skinny.

They are the nicest natured bunnies ever.

And I've also got my gorgeous Wilfred Pamplemouse who lost a leg and is now a permanent resident here - he's a REW young Frenchie.

I'm bonding him this week to my lovely Poppet who is an old lady and who just lost her aged disabled husbun a short while ago.

Size clearly doesn't matter, and nor does age. He's just such a soppy boy and loves her to bits.

Here's my NZ white this morning, having a cuddle with me before he jumped off the sofa and went exploring. Hes much smaller than he should be (under 4kg and hes about 18 months old) as until 9 months old he was kept in a 4 foot guinea pig hutch (but for most of it couldn't fit through into the 'bedroom' bit as he was too big, making it a 3 foot hutch...), it stunted his growth. He also has a wonky front leg bless him, where he couldn't stretch out properly.

Have two more REW's too, a tiny cali x and a cross breed. Nobody wanted any of them because of their eyes, so I had them all :love:

I didn't realise they were that small! I thought they were giants, but my Barney should be about 3.6-3.7kg (currently 3.4 though :() and he's not that big. I wish I knew his breed. He's not a NZW though, as he has blue eyes (albeit with the ruby cast in some lights) and doesn't have the long face.

They can be huge! Gracie is definitely a NZW but she was a lab rabbit so cooped up conditions may explain her size.

She is extremely active though, eats everything...pleads that we starve her.. you wouldn't think she eats as much as she does to look at her, but it's because she's continuously pelting around and burning it all off. She's a proper nutter.:love:

Barney is gorgeous xx
