Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Should I feel bones?

Hi guys, I was just stroking Maia and I noticed that at the bottom of her back, I can feel two bones sticking out. I think it's her pelvis? idk sorry :( I also noticed that if I stroke down her back with a small amount of pressure I can feel her spine. The bones don't stick right out and aren't noticeable when you look at her, they also don't feel sharp (I read online that an underweight bunny's bones will feel sharp and angular), they just feel like rounded bumps. The two bones at the bottom of her back feel more prominent than her spine. I'm sure I shouldn't feel them, should I? :(

She seems to eat fine and she runs around and plays normally, this has just worried me. :?

Should I be worried? What should I do if she's underweight?

The general guide I go to is you should be able to feel them but not see them sticking out. If you're worried you could book an appointment with your vet for some advice.
