Im looking for a breeder in scotland.............

Hiya, 99% of people on here are against breeding, so I doubt you will have much luck here. There are lots of giant bunnies in rescue centres needing good homes, have a look at rabbit rehome on here.

You are likely to be advised to consider looking at Rescues before buying from a Breeder

There may be some Giants in Rescue who need a good home, but obtaining a specific colour may make things more difficult

Details of some Rescues in Scotland here:

http://www.rabbitrehome.org.uk/centres.asp#Scotland

There are some Giants listed here:

If you have already considered Rescue Rabbits and decided that it is not what you want then you could contact The British Rabbit Council for details of Breeders in your area. Being a BRC Breeder gives no guarantee that the person is 'good' Breeder though as anyone can join the BRC.

Hello Emma... Don't know where you are in Scotland but try the SSPCA or if you are in central Scotland
you could try Fairly Beloved Rabbit Rescue in Glasgow or Buddies Bunny Rescue in Lothian....

Both are fab and both my bunnies have come from these rescues....

There are around 76,000 rabbits in rescues.... try a rescue first.... They have bunnies best interests first ..

All the best

Fee x

I can echo this. Buddies are fantastic and will help you every step of the way.

Definitely have a look around rescues first, not just because there are so many in there really needing homes as others have already said, but its also benefiting you as an owner. Most rescue rabbits already come neutered and vaccinated, and the adoption fee is much less than it would cost you to buy a rabbit and pay to have it neutered and vaccinated itself. Also most baby rabbits seem to have lovely personalities but they quickly mature and aside from the fact they're no longer small and as cute, their personalities can change dramatically and that lovely friendly little baby could become aggressive, and that's the last thing you want from a giant rabbit  Rescue rabbits are often adult so their personalities are well developed, if they're friendly in the rescue they're probably going to stay friendly (if they're really shy thats probably down to past experiences and they could still become friendly). Oh and also healthy seeming babies can grow up to have a lot of health problems, if you get an adult from a rescue who's staff are the experts they're a lot more likely to know if the rabbit has any health issues :)

So yeah not only are rescues full to the brim but rescuing will save you money and allow you to choose the rabbit that's perfect for you, health and personality wise :)
