Bella is a magpie harlequin dwarf lop doe. She came to HH with her brother and their accidental litter in March 2008.
Her seven babies were just four days old. She had a dreadful case of snuffles which a vet had misdiagnosed as a hay allergy .
Given the right treatment at HH it came under control, but has never gone completely. Her illness is typical of rabbits bred in factory conditions for the big chain pet shops. No care is taken and they are placed under huge stress by being separated from their mother too early and being treated as an object to be sold rather than as a living creature that deserves respect and care.
She lives in one of our sheds with her daughter River, and Pip. She is not overly friendly unless she thinks you have food.
