Toast can be good for encouraging a bun to eat if he is poorly. It is also useful for putting meds in. I find mine will often nom a piece of toast when they refuse anything else. I usually buy the cheap white bread, but if I have a bun who needs to be tempted to eat, I will buy the granary or wholemeal bread and sometimes the bun lets me share it with him or her
I once saw a rabbit specialist that told me to feed cheerios, she said at that point absolutely anything was preferable to nothing
My vet suggested shreedies for meds cos it soaks it up well, its always worked for us, 2 shreddies did a full dose of metacam

My Grimmy bunny gets a slice of white bread almost every day now. He is on borrowed time and doesn't have much left. It's one of the only things left in life that he enjoys. He was miserable, didn't move much and eas losing weight (500g), so I started giving him his bread and he's like a different bunny. He goes mad for it and it's brought him back to life.
I don't think there's much wrong with a little bit of toast. Charcoal on burnt toast is good for an upset stomach too.
