Rabbits on Animal Frontline bbc1 now

rabbit..... garden.... hutch.... adults in house.......never went in garden.......rabbit starves......sickening

I find that programme hard to watch regardless of the animals involved. Always SO sad and very rarely 'proper' happy endings...

worst of it is if the inspector had gone there and the rabbit had been alive with food and water then that horrible tiny prison of a hutch would have been where it remained .
there needs to be well published minimum LEGAL standards for what is acceptable living space for a rabbit. there are minimum standards for creatures like chickens and pigs but rabbits it seems it is ok to keep it in a box too small to ever sit up on hind legs or go more then 2 paces.

as for that vile woman on the programe- pathetic sentance. and it won;t stop animals being at that house- shell just claim animal belongs to family member. the rules on disqualified from keeping animals need expanding so as no one can keep an animal at an address where an animal abuser lives.

The animal welfare laws in this country are a joke. There's no such thing as "justice" for animals here. Even the U.S.A have stricter laws and punishments for animal cruelty and they are generally quite "backwards" (no offence intended!) with most things like that.
