Disability Friendly Rabbit Home

Hi everyone,

I wondered if you might please have some advice for accessible indoor rabbit homes.

My rabbit lives in the spare room, he has a large dog crate (on the floor) with an extra wooden level, and an enclosed pen. Luckily I have help to look after him but I would love a better solution so I can reach everything easily from my wheelchair.

I thought about getting a double hutch, as at least the upper level would be easier to reach to feed him etc. But I'm worried this wouldn't be spacious enough? He does get to free run, but only when supervised so he needs a set up that is big enough to live in.

I would welcome any suggestions to make things better for both me and buns - thank you!

Could you just raise the crate up onto something? Like a small coffee table, I'm sure your bun wouldn't have much trouble jumping down off it. Or you could provide a ramp for him/her?

Hiya!, Welcome:wave:

I would have said exactly the same.. As long as the table is wide enough for the crate to fit comfortably, sounds like a solution...:thumb:
