  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Cheap or Not

i rang the vets today enquiring about the combi vacination and how much it would cost and they said £25 per rabbit once a year .
is it cheap or not

Yup that's pretty good. I pay about £30. Used to be £16 x 3 x 4 bunnies so have gone from £180 a year to £90.

It's a good price yeah :)

I pay £20.50 for each bun, so just over £80. Whereas before it was £14.50 for each vaccine for each bun! So around £115 a year.

...I like the combi vaccine:lol:

That's what I pay,

Ad I thought it was great compared to what I was quoted to get them individually a couple of months before was going to be over £40

thats what i thought £50 a year on vacci is good and need to get my other bun booked it for a spay aswell which is going to be £60 plus any after mediction aswell

I know, must be mad hey?

I think there worth it x

Aaaaw they most definitely are :D:love: Its just when you lump it all together and put it like that its a crazy lot of money!! You should sweet talk your vet and get a BOGOF discount!! I've got my 2 tomorrow...I won't feel quite so bad now as I hand over my bank card!!

The vet comes to us and vaccinates the dog and the goats too so they waiver the call out fee and the injection fee for the goats.

It is a lot of money but if that's what they need then I have to save for it.

One of my buns had to have a dental and a lump removed last week too so that's another £130, no wonder we never have any money!
