New tray, too much hay?!

Got Heidi and Dash a new deep litter tray for 2 reasons - to stop the wee going over the edge (ruining the hutch) and to stop them digging out all the litter. U can prob just c I have a layer of newspaper, a layer of wood pellet litter and topped with hay but is this too much hay do u think for keeping the wee in the tray? Didn't want too little in case it encouraged digging up the litter! They're out in the run ATM while I sort the hutch out

I put a similar amount in my buns trays but it's soon flat when they sit on it :lol:

It will get flattened within 30 seconds :lol:

lots and lots of hay! I don't actually pop hay in mine, just litter, but then as they eat it all drops in and it soon covers it for them!

Ok I'll leave it as it is and c how we go :lol: One day I'll get it right :roll:
