whats the longest you have been away from your buns?

As with my post in general about Jack, I am worried about being away from Jimby and Cookie, Jims and I have such a strong bond I fear he would think I had abandoned him. I am so worried that they could die whilst im gone and I would never forgive myself!

Not more than 12-14 hours overnight . I have been camping overnight locally, but popped back each day...I can't leave Pebbles as he needs to be fed seperately. If I had to go away longer (like when I go into hospital) I'll have to smuggle him in with me :lol::lol:

a 9 day holiday. Next year I'm going away for 18 days though. As long as their feeding routine is stuc to, I doubt they'll care:lol:

About 6 weeks. Bonded rabbits don't really care, as long as they're cared for properly and have each other they'd be fine.

I left Kermit for 3 weeks before. I have left Herbie & Inca for 2 weeks. All still loved me when I came back.

You can't live your life not going anywhere just because you have pets. As long as they are being cared for then they will be fine.

Less than 24 hours, and that was when I was in hospital overnight with a badly broken arm.

To be honest, I don't really want to go on holiday - I would rather use my money for other things.

I would have any hesitation leaving Spenser if I did decide to go on holiday as long as my parents were around to look after him in the manner to which he has become accustomed.

This! We regularly go away for weekends.

This stretch of 3 weeks. We're going on holiday next week, but because of OH's work schedule (I can't drive, it was an entire car load of bunny stuff!) we had to drop them off earlier. They're at my parents, where they have their pen as it is in my house, all the love they can handle, and I suspect all the basil they can eat

i went away for a month last christmas, and failed to bond my bunnies before i left :( it was so awful! i had a housesitter staying and also gave 2 friends keys and they both came over every day for bunny cuddle time. i'd feel much less guilty leaving them now that they're bonded though, i dont think they'd even notice!

I've only been away for nights/weekends so far, that's in the 8 1/2 years I've had my oldest pair!

Next month though I am off on a 9 day holiday and I'm going to miss them so much.
My brother and his fiancée will be staying here to look after all the buns though so I'm not worried, the bunnies wont care that I'm not here that's for sure!

when i first got bisc and matt i went away for one night and was worried sick the whole time. i've never been away from them again since 2006, except when it was my grandma's funeral and we were out for hours and i was petrified. i am the same, i worry something will happen when i'm not here/they'll think i've left them/there will be a fire/burglars/the boiler will explode. you name it and i worry about it. i even sleep in the lounge with them because i want to be right here if they need me. it's not healthy i know that, but i can't help it. i would never ever beable to go out for the day and leave them, or on holiday.

22 days when I travelled around Scandenavia, I was 16 though and only had Lola then :love:

I travel almost every year and my bunnies always go visit their grandparents (aka my parents) where they are waited on hand and foot. My mum and dad have their own 2 bunnies too now, so know what they are doing :)

I left Harriet for a week (or two, can't remember) just after I got her. Wasn't nice but so lovely to come back and see her, and she didn't act any differently towards me. Haven't gone a night away since then though, because we now have more animals and there wouldn't be anyone to look after them. OH is going away for a week in summer though, I'll be staying. I doubt they'll care, haha.

I went to Russia for a week last year and couldn't wait to see Doughnut, I really missed her, then 3 weeks later was when I started noticing all her symptoms of throat rubbing, soft poops, wetness, noises. I have no idea if she would be ill if I hadn't gone away but it certainly has put me off leaving her. I wouldn't go away until she was well again as when I had to go over night to say goodbye to my aunt and a friend came in twice, she really deterioriated.

I can't afford to go away this year anyway but I did notice an advert in my specialists this morning about a bunnery and I asked if they were good. They are clients of his and he said they would always bring the rabbit to him if they were concerned, so think I will go with that place for peace of mind. If I went away for a weekend I would get someone in.

I certainly wouldn't stop going on holidays because of Doughnut but just don't feel comfortable leaving her at the moment.

A fortnight is the longest I've left Rolo - he stays with my parents and he's truly spoilt there so I have no worries over him xx

Two weeks for me and three years for my brother. First thing Mona did was to lick us. They never forget, not even after years. Your buns will be fine xx

About 2 weeks. They have auntie Monica come and stay. They both love her very much....but they still sulk when I come home

Well since I've moved to Stockholm for Uni....and can't keep any animals where I currently live...I only see Bella every 3 weeks or so :( Longest I've been away would be just over a month I think. I was so worried they wouldn't remember me but they did, straight away. Boris did pass away when I wasn't there and that makes me feel even worse about it.....I would've wanted to be there with him  And to think that he might've wondered where I was...ugh. Makes me so sad.
