Looking for a Rabbit Dental Specialist in Kent

Does anyone know a good rabbit dental specialist in Kent? Preferably one with a lot of experience in taking molars out. I have yet to phone Trinity (at Maidstone) to ask them, but their website doesn't say anything about them specialising in bunny dentistry.

Thanks.

Update: I've just seen my vet and he told me that the only specialist he knows that will do dentistry in buns is Trinity, and he will refer Pebbles there. I'm glad my vet is honest as he said he has only done a couple of molar extractions in his career and would be happier to have Trinity dealing with Pebbles due to the more complicated aftercare he will need.

Any exotic vet is going to be experienced with rabbit dentals as rabbit teeth issues are common in rabbits. You couldn't be in better hands with Trinity Vets :D I just wish I lived in Kent!

Yep...looks like we will be going to Trinity! I'm not looking forward to getting there as I think I'm going to be too drugged up or in pain to drive, and I know trains are a nightmare (would have to change at Ashford) and will be nearly 2 hours one way by Train...

edit: does anyone know if they have their own parking area, or do you have to park in hospital??

Yes they have own parking round the back.

I can not recomend Mark enough. :)

That's great..I think driving there will be quicker and therefore better for Pebbles. I just hope I can get enough money together as i can see this will work out rather expensive

Believe me I know rabbits are expensive. Try not to worry Trinity are actually rather cheap compared to other vets:)

There is parking round the back, some spaces are 20 mins only, some are for residents and some are for the shops and can park there for longer. The last ones tend to fill up quick. You can also park on the road but that fills up quick too. We tend to have one person wait in the car while the other goes in unless we find a shop parking space.

I've just come back from seeing Mark, he is fantastic, can't say enough good things about him.

Parking is a bit of a nightmare. When you turn right at the roundabout and Trinity is on your right, there is where the car park is. The first I think eight bays are all for shopping so you can park there for an hour. I never get a spot there. I drive further down the road and look for a spot along there, normally don't get one so go to the end and bear to the right and sometimes at the top you can park there, next to some grass, if not bear right again and park on the right. There is normally a spot somewhere there where you won't get a ticket. There again today I had to turn right again and park along the further road.

The Tescos spots are only 30 minutes and because I'm normally there early I don't want to risk it. I am always seen on time though.

Good luck, you certainly won't be disappointed.

Me too ;) just been in, now having chips at Papa's Barn  we occasionally get spaces there but it's got worse recently.

I've not eaten in there since it burnt down - are they still as nice?

You're literally 30 seconds from where I work when im in Kent!

Hi...back again! My brain isn't working properly this morning and I can't find the message where you said which days mark works and which days he doesn't...I know Fridays are his half day and he doesn't work weekends. As Pebbles is now coughing alot, I really want to get him there asap. I'm going to phone them as soon as they open regardless to speak to them.

I am now starting to wonder if it is something else, as he is eating solid pellets, carrot, cabbage, coriander and ate his fenugreek crunchie last night when I was out. Maybe the fenugreek crunchy scratched his throat?? I really don't know now :(

Just had a look on google maps...the hospital carpark isn't too far away, so I guess that would be better for longer term parking if there isn't anything available behind Trinity vets.

Well I got to see Mark this morning! Took me about an hour to get there..and got there with 3 minutes to spare!! Fortunately there was one parking space :thumb:

Unfortunately it took me nearly 2 hours to get home as the junction I needed to take from the A249 to get back to the M2 was closed...with no warning notices, no diversion signs and no clues as to where to go once I was on a very busy 4 lane roundabout  I managed to stay calm and keep my 2 autistic kids calm and headed towards Sittingbourne as it was the only place I knew :lol: Then it was snails pace crawl, in what I hoped was the right direction to get back on the M2!

Depending on how Pebbles does, I may be able to collect him tonight, or he may stay overnight.

What did Mark say?

It is a nightmare parking round there, that's why before I've got there about 30 minutes early as I know I will be hunting for a space and never know what traffic is like. Well worth it though.

Hopefully it will only take you an hour when you pick him up.

I heard the traffic was bad today, if I'd put two and two together i would've warned you!
