  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Combi vac today

B&B had their combi today which went OK. They didn't even flinch for the jab, it was the general check up they squirmed and scrabbled over

They're both in good health though with a great set of nashers each :D

They have each lost 100g though, which the vet says is probably down to the harsh winter. I've booked them in for a check up weigh in for next month though to make sure they put it back on.

They are now sat being grumpy

One of my rabbits developed a lump after having the injection,I got really upset but its very common, but per-warning in case you got worried about the same thing

Thank you I will bear that in mind.

And Jane, you were right, a few parsley & apple biscuits later and we're all friends again

Frosty and Snowflake just had the combo. Didnt mind it at all but not keen on their teeth being admired! They were both a bit quiet once we got home but were back to normal the next day. Vet said to bring them back if they had any sneezing/snuffling. She was very sweet with them and kept saying how nice and healthy thery were and what shiney coats!

Hi there

I has the same with two of my buns. One developed a lump and a scab and the other just a lump. They were both done by the same person a the vet. When the other 5 were done they didnt get a lump so it could have been his technique?

Hope yours are both okay :)

Ye reminded me to book Herbie in for his :) Going in 3 weeks :)

Herbie & Inca had it last year and were both 100% fine with it.
