  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Recovering- thanks for all your help

Young Bun
I posted around a month ago about my bunny fluffy who got head tilt. Well she's still on panacur and metacan but she's doing so much better. She's still got a slight tilt but she's exercising well and drinking and eating has much improved.

She does seem to be a different rabbit now. She seems to be far more excited. She runs around her new massive indoor hutch in circles and when she's out having a run on the floor she groans quite a bit. She also is a lot more fussy and wanting more strokes and cuddles, which I'm loving. I'm just worried about her groans. Not sure if there is something wrong. Can anyone give me some advice please.

So glad she's on the mend :D Some buns are more vocal than others. One of mine runs up to me grunting when she knows treats are available  So she sounds happy.

Thank you. She's starting thumping when I stop
Stroking her so I thought it was a happy loving groan. I'm wondering if she needs spaying? Any advise on whether she should or not??
