The ebay bunnies are safe :o) pics p20

Hugo's There

Wise Old Thumper
Not sure how many of you saw the original thread by Mackers as it was removed quite quickly even though there was no link. Anyway after days of careful talking this morning Steve drove down to collect them and is on his way back now.

the advert stated the bunnies were bought for entertainment for the children to make them go out side and that they were now going on holiday and had no-one to look after them so needed to get rid.

The rabbits are 8 month old boys living separate in 2.5ft x 15 inch hutches. They were thick with poo and it looks as if they were being fed bread rolls and potato peelings. It really was a living hell

We have, rightly or wrongly, bought the hutches out of our own money so no other bunny ever has to live in them. Negotiations were difficult as English was not her first language :?

If they are in good health we will get them ready for rehoming and either rehome from here or be looking for a rescue place for them :D

Well done you for getting those buns out of there, at least they are now safe. :thumb:

How terribly sad - at least they're now free from such a miserable existance.

You're an angel for rescuing the poor little things xx

I hope no lasting damage has been done to their digestive tract.
:(
Fairly beloved took a bunny in last year that had been being kept in a budgie cage and being fed potatoes, English was not their first language either.
Sadly he never made it even after being cared for by them. The damage was done.
Sending loads of vibes that these guys will be ok xxxxx

Well done for getting them out of that hell hole.

Are you kidding, two of them were in a 15 inch long hutch.:evil::evil: Poor bunnies.

Well done Liz & Steve for getting those poor bunnies out of that hell hole.

Also well done to Mackers for highlighting them in the first place. :thumb:

I hope both boys are OK and have no lasting issues due to their appalling diet. :(

Well done- how did they survive on potato peelings

There was large whole bakery loaf of bread in the hutch when Steve got there!

This is the pic that was on ebay

This is the hutch at ours after it was "cleaned" out. Despite being empty it absolutely stinks :( Both of them lived in the top compartment
