Bramble our new bun and Belles future husbun

Five weeks ago i had to go to my local pets at home as they decided to replace my broken hutch.

We looked at the rabbits while there and noticed a rabbit had a bleeding cut by its eye. We told a member of staff and the bunny was removed from the area.

We went back in today and asked after the rabbit and he was bought out from the back so we could see him (DH works in the shop next door so knows everyone). Luckaly he was fine and well healed. Then she said he was going into the adoption section as due to the injury he had not been out on the floor and was now to big.

Cue dh can we hold him? Dh holds him then hands him to me. He went stright under my chin and sat there completely relaxed.

Why did i know what was coming next :roll:

Meet Bramble







I said to hubby i wanted a rescue. But he says he is a rescue as he has spent the last five week in a cage at the back of the shop and given how many adoption rabbits they have it could have taken him ages to find a new home. So he came home with us.

This is his future wife Belle.

Fingers crossed that the bonding goes well.

Had some positives today. They are very interested in each other and i have them side by side in their runs. With just enough between them so no nipping can happen but they seem very happy to flop next to each other by the bars so there some hope there.

Just got to get Bramble neutured (appointment next tuesday) and vaccinated. Then hopefully it will be all systems go for bonding.

Sounds so similar to how we got Holly - it's that relaxed snuggle under the chin! No way you can resist that.:roll:
