Pet water bottles + dishwasher = does it equal disaster?

Rice and lil bit of water on inside of bottles a weak detergant solution on the outside, problem solved, unless you want funny squishy bottles lol

Not a great idea as as said above, it does mishape the bottles.

However, my dishwasher have a sterilizing setting which I used for the goats' bottles when I hand reared them which I think should be okay for the water bottle.

I clean the rabbits, chinchillas and the ferrets' bottles by putting rice into the bottle with water and then shake it up. I do this once or twice a week and it does the job really nicely :thumb:

I wouldn't risk it, I went to wash out my bottles yesterday, and someone had just used the hot water tap (we have mixers) the little bit of hot water that was left in it gushed out, aaaand half of my bottle melted inwards in the shape of my hand **ouch**

So yeah, anything past 'luke warm' can apparently destroy bottles :evil:

my mum ruined a few bottles putting it in the dishwasher.:lol: Luckily I collected a few over the years.
