Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Baby bunny eye is sore

CazandCo

Alpha Buck
Hello, I am just posting incase there is something I might have missed. The little black baby has developed a sore right eye, I have been bathing it in warm water three times a day since Sunday. I am going to take baby bun to the vets after work tomorrow so they can have a look. Feeding and growth is fine, all babies are same size too.

Do you think there is anything else I can do for little rufus (already named by my boss), aside from the vets of course? All the other baby's are fine... Hmmm

I have booked him in at the vets this afternoon, what is best? 1) just take baby rufus 2) take all babies and mum 3)take all babies but not mum...

Thanks

I'm back from the vets, Rufus has an infection in his right eye. She thinks its just the way the lid has grown and a possibly a spot of fur got under.
Got some drops for him, to use three times a day. That should be fun come monday, do you think i will be allowed to take him to work with me?
