Aren't they adorable?! *squee!*
We have cottontails here that turn white like that during the winter. I don't think I've ever seen a genuine snowshoe hare here, we're too far south, but the few wildies I've seen look like minis of these. The feet aren't quite as large, but the markings for winter are the same.
However we have ptarmigan (birds) that look very like the bunnies from behind, until the head comes up and you realize there's no ears. You'd almost swear it was a snowball that just waddled across the road, they are so round. :lol:
