You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

New Kit
hi guys
i have a bunny nearly 2 years old. there was a favorite mixed food of her called witte molen but as i had some insect problems with it, i had to change it and then she simply refuses whatever i buy. she eats hay, greens, treats but she does not eat pellets. what should i do?

Hi there minik, welcome to the forum

Bunnies are temperamental little things and often don't like sudden change, which is probably why she's refusing to eat her new food. As rabbits have sensitive digestive systems, any new food should ideally be changed over gradually - but I appreciate that you can't do this if you have insect problems with a food. If she is eating plenty of hay and greens there's no need to panic as buns can do just fine on these and a few members here don't even feed dried food, however they do feed a wide variety of greens, often including forage like plantain and bramble.

What foods have you tried to introduce to your bun? If you would like her back on dried food, is it at all possible to get a small bag of her old food and change her over gradually? If you're changing food anyway, now would be an ideal time to change her to pellets instead of a museli mix. A mix isn't the best food as buns selective feed and only pick out the bits they enjoy! With pellets they all look and taste the same so she can't be fussy. :)
