Hi there,

I will be making a short weekend trip to london very soon. It would be a quick pop in and out type of trip so i will probably stay around central london. Can anyone recommend a good pet shop or place where i can go get some of these lovely fenugreek treats that i hear everyone talking about?? I dont get them in switzerland and would love to get some for my buns to try! I might also take the opportunity to buy a new pop up tent and other toys for them.

Thanks!!

I'm not sure if there are any good pet shops in London..but from doing a google search, an article from The Telegraph says "For smaller, more specialist shops, Pets Corner in Camden, Animal Fair in Kensington, Hurlingham Pet Shop and the Fish Bowl, both in Fulham, are worth a look. "

Animal Fair is at 17 Abingdon Road, Kensington High Steet, London W8 6AH...if you don't have an issue with stores that sell animals too.

thanks! Ive actually been to Animal Fair at High St Ken last Summer where i bought a pop up tent, and i didnt see any animals being sold there (or did i miss it, but its such a small store). They had one huge red parrot but im sure that wasnt for sale!

I didnt see any fenugreeks though..

may try the others you suggested.

Pets At Home do them, not sure where you are staying.

I work in London but order most things online or get them local as in the city everything is expensive.

I think pets at home would be further out of London. Other option would be garden centres like Wyvale (my branch does fenugreek crunchies). There is a branch at Syon park, London..but not sure where that is exactly!

edited: just looked it up..it is way out near Brentford!!

Can you go online on pets at home or another website and get them delivered to your hotel in London? It would probably be cheaper than buying things in Kensington which is an expensive area.

Don't use pets corner - not if its the chain, their rabbit enclosures are worse the p@h and they're soooo expensive! fenugreek crunchies are about £5-£6 a bag in there!

I did check P@H and there arent any close to central london. I have 48 hours and no car so wont be able to get out. I hope i can find something!!

I mean order online and get them delivered to your hotel address in London.

I'd look online and see if you can get some delivered to your hotel...look on amazon.co.uk...most places can deliver next day. Rosewood do fenugreek crunchies (200g) for £2.49 and free next day delivery
edited to say they also do pop up tents, tunnels & loads of other toys!

great idea! I have a friend living in London so that might be an option too! yay! will tell my bunnies the good news tonight! hope they dont get addicted to those things though... not sure i have enough luggage space for all i want to buy!:D

Pets Corner in Camden is no longer there unless there is another one somewhere. The one on Malden Road has been replaced by a halal meat/corner shop.

Pets Corner, I used to live down the road from that. It shut down a few years ago and was subject to an animal seizure, including several rabbits, that had been abandoned and left to starve inside. Some of these guys went to The Mayhew.

But yes, you're best ordering online and shipping to your friend/hotel in London instead!

I live near Malden Road now. :)

Horrible thing to happen, the shop had been there for years. http://www.camdennewjournal.com/news/2011/may/animals-left-inside-pets-corner-shop-recover-home

Ahh! I lived in Penshurst for 4 years. Glad to be out to be honest, 4 years of not sleeping much and getting woken up by **** neighbours and fights outside Monkey Chews!

Oh cool, that's very close to where I am now! I live just off the Crescent, just on the other side of Malden Road!:)
Loving it here, so close to the Heath and everything, guess I've been lucky with my neighbours then!:)

Thanks all for your suggestions! Ive asked my friend if she can help me. However, shes concerned that as she works full time, there will be no one to receive the parcel from amazon. Does anyone know if they would require someone at the door to sign for the items or would they leave the parcel at the doorstep?

Thanks again!
