Hello bunbuds,
I have a question regarding the drinking habits of my bun. I'm looking for opinion, suggestions, etc...
So our bun is almost 3 now, it is safe to say I know his eating/drinking habits by now... During the last 2,5-2,7 years he has been drinking pretty much the same amount...sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more. But since a couple of days, he drinks way more, twice as much as before.
Last Thursday I brought home some dried herbs for him... The brand is naturals, and I've brought two sacks, a "Dandelion delight" and "Herbal Garden". It's nothing fancy, not those silly crackers n stuff people buy to their pets, proper natural things...herbs and greens, nothing more. So... do you think he might be drinking more because of that? I mean they are dried so he might drink more because of that. Bear in mind, he is not a major hay-monster, and his diet consists of a tiny pinch of Excel pellets in the morning, same amount before going to bed... constant hay, and fresh, organic watercress.. occasionally, a 1cm 'big' piece of a banana, apple or orange..fruit is a rare treat, he rarely gets any. I give him these dried herbs since Thursday more times a day, cause it seems to be functioning like hay, and he likes them far more... (He is not losing weight, not having any problem with his guts, etc...so it's not the kidney thing)
So, what do you think? can the herbal forage be responsible for his increased drinking habit now?
