The halfpenny cats, part 1- fao mischief and tinker!

halfpenny

Wise Old Thumper
Pumpkin- doesn't get out because he has had ops to fix dislocated kneecaps, his knees still aren't fully stable. He was a feral cat we took in at 10 months old.

Mr Tomsk- a stray who lived on the yard for 2 winters before deciding he like us and wanted to stay with us.

Helga- was saved from being PTS because she was peeing in the house. She weighed twice as much as she should have and had chronic cystitis. She is now hyperthyroid and you would think being an indoor cat, living with 13 others would cause her to develop stress cystis again but she has been fine since coming here.

Dumpling- not sure how old Dumpling is, she was handed into the vets as an emaciated stray showing neurological symptoms. The vets were faced with putting her to sleep when the more national rescues would not take her, we think she is about 15.

Meiko- arrived a few months ago. He has been a house cat all his life but his owner is pregnant and e doesn't like children. She could find nowhere to take him so was going to PTS. He's not the easiest of cats but is settling.

I cannot believe how many were going to be pts. How very sad. Wonderful cats and they sound like they have settled in well over the years.

No owls today. ;)
