The Start of my Vintage Wendy Boston Bear Collection

Jack's-Jane

Wise Old Thumper
The one on the bottom right is one I already had, he was my Mum's and she was given him in about 1969

The other two were Ebay finds. They too are from the 1960s

So far the collection is worth about £80 and has cost me about £20. I will be leaving the collection to Isabelle (my honorary niece) when I fall off my perch xx

What a lovely collection. I have a big bear similiar to the one at the back. I can't remember where he came from, have had him about 20 years so it must have been a gift to Andrew. Off to check if there is a label.

What is wrong with my memory. I have three large bears, not including Paddington and cannot remember where two of them came from but they were always on Andrews shelves.

The label says Alresford Bear, the other is a Gund bear. The Gund bear doesn't look like it would be worth much but I wouldn't part from them. The other bear was made in Alysbury.

Cannot get the links up, my computer is playing up today.

The alresford is on at a good price but probably not vintage enough if from the 80's to get the good price of the 60's. It looks more like your biggest bear. He could do with a soapy clean.

The Gund bear is closest to this one.

Off to see what 1970's Paddingtons are worth, minue 2 Mr Bennett chews out of the coat. Not that I would sell.

This is exactly like my Paddington, except the boots.
