:love::love::love:

How big is she? She looks massive but it's hard to judge without having anything in the photo as a size comparison.

Wow I haven't seen a blue tongue lizard in years. :love:

Karen if I remember rightly they are huge, well compared to the little ones that scurry around many gardens. About a foot long ?

She's 4 years old now. Weighs around 750gms and is 48cms long, nose to tail.:)

She has the gentlest nature.:love:

Wow she is big. About the size of the second photo :love:

My aunt used to get a lizard on the side of her pool most days, when I was there last year. Same colouring but a lot lot smaller and very shy.

Beautiful :love: I love lizards, they're just so...something! :lol: Any chance you have a picture of her setup as I'm nosy?

Oh wow. :love: She is lovely. How long do they live for roughly?

Kept as pets they can live for 20 years plus. In the wild only about 15% make it to adults. They are Highland Blotched and are cold weather specialists not found below 700 meters above sea level. Being predominantly black they warm up with less exposure to sun.

Returned to her viv after it was fully cleaned. She couldn't smell her own scent so had to check everything to make sure it was her home.

Poor lass in the video, she doesn't look very sure! :lol: Love her getting on top of the house though. Your vivs are great, how fab that you made them yourself! Means that you can have them exactly the way you want :D

What are your other two guys called?

In the picture of the 3 vivs Oola is the top, below her is her brother Declan and the one on the right is Clancy. Clancy is one we rehabilitated but who refuses to leave.:D

That's not a great survival rate in the wild is it :( but hopefully Oola has very very many happy years ahead of her. :love: They're fascinating creatures and I love the set ups.

She is a stunner, looks very different to the blue tongues you see offered for pets here so I assume they're a slightly different species.

Most of those for sale in UK petshops are wild caught from Indonesia as it is illegal to export Australian species.

It's rather ironic because you can't buy blue tongue skinks from petshops in many states of Australia.
