Unfortunately Tammy always suffered with a sticky bum and i remember my dad always cleaning her but one day we discovered maggots  it was one of the worst things iv ever witnessed. She had to be put to sleep  We did our best but didn't know what we know now :(

These pics are when Candy was a lone bunny, from around 1994 so poor Tammy must only have lived 2 or 3 years :(

Although we knew less than we know now, they actually had a pretty good set up, my dad had built them a spacious 'L' shaped hutch then he built them a fenced off enclosure and the hutch went in there. It wasn't huge but at least they got out regularly.

Thanks for sharing.

The REW babies are especially cute. I expect my Spenser looked like that when he was little.

Lovely photos, especially the babies!

I know I still get sad when I think about them, we gave 2 to our friends who lived near us so we thought it was great as we'd get to c them, their dad built them a decent hutch, but they turned out to be male and female too and had a litter which the mum started eating  it was so sad, most of them died but I remember one that had had its little leg chewed and they were trying to hand rear it but it died  and in the meantime they'd split the hutch in 2 to keep the mum and dad apart but u can imagine how small the space would have been for each rabbit. I can't remember what happened, whether they got the boy neutered or not :(
We sent the rest to the pet shop where we got Tammy and Candy from :( Then we found out my sisters friend had bought Punk! She named him Bramble. I don't know if my sis ever went to c him but I like to think he had a nice home!

 Spenser was prob like them but with Punks fuzziness!! Punk was the only long haired one. It still amazes me that she had 8 and there were such a variety of colours! None were like their mummy :( My faves were the two grey ones, I can't remember what we named the other  but it was a gorgeous very pale creamy grey  That's one that our friends had, can't remember what they called it either

It's so sad isn't it. I had never even considered rabbits as a pet in 1991. It wasn't until 1998 when my neighbour brought 2 home for the children and promptly went off for days on ennd and left me with their food! That's when I fell in love with them. She also brought 2 kittens home and kept them in the downstair's loo!

Spenser didn't really have his mane until his second summer with me, and he was fully grown when I got him. I met his Mum, a dark brown lionhead rather smaller than Spenser, but I don't know what his Dad was like.
