This is just out of curiosity. I just wondered if there were any rescues that 'specialise' (if that's even the right word) in the large breeds of rabbit?? I was just watching a programme and it had a conti on it and it got me thinking.

Even if you started off 'Specialising' in Big buns, I doubt you could keep it up - Once people know that you'll take in rabbits, you are inundated with calls - and how do you turn away a rabbit in need/poss in danger, just because they arent big enough?

I am not looking to start a rescue for larger breeds of rabbits. And even if I did I wouldn't turn away small ones. I am just interested in the larger breeds as well as smaller ones and it would be nice to speak to someone who has a good knowledge on larger breeds, rather than all the confusing stuff on the internet. Plus in the future I would love to adopt two larger bunnies and I was just wondering what rescues take in bigger bunnies.

know i started this group on the wrong foot and i am very sorry for upsetting everyone.:( I hope you don't mind me jumping in and chatting.

I have 2 continental giant rabbit called Krypto and lil missy their aged 7 months at the moment and are quite larger then my other 4 bunnies and they dont stop growing till next christmas. I had Krypto neutered then let krypto and missy play together and they havent been apart for more then quick vet checks since. They are truely lovely affectiant bunnies when i am cleaning them out missy keeps running up and head butting my leg then running of :D Krypto loves to throw their dinner bowl out when they are finished. They do eat a lot more then the others but worth it i wouldnt be without my babies none of them.

Did you? I just read through your last thread and don't find anything bad about it, just perhaps concern for what may/may not have been :D don't worry about it ;)
