I am putting a thread together giving suggestions as to what NON PRESCRIPTION items people may want to keep in a Bunny First Aid Box.
It is, of course, always essential to seek Veterinary attention for a sick or injured Rabbit. But having a few items available for immediate use or for use after a consultation with the Vet can be helpful.
I am not including any 'Prescription Only' items in the list. Each individual would need to discuss with their Vet about keeping any POMs at home.
So far on the list I have the following items:
Infacol or Gripe Water- for use if Rabbit has a 'gassy' stomach, which can often occur when the GI tract is slowing down.
Hibiscrub- details here http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/skin-and-hair/medicines/hibiscrub.html
Sterile Saline -for wound cleaning
Manuka Honey, highest UMF you can afford eg http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wellbeeing-...S0/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1355642158&sr=8-16
