The quads...Kennel within a kennel...

So with the weather turning sooo cold and brrr I needed to make the quad more cosy!! They only had an indoor cage base as there bed, which meant they have no where to snuggle down warm,

So went and bought this today, yes is does mean they get less run space, but it mean they have somewhere to bed down and snuggle, I will take it out in april/may time when the temps rise up etc

The inside stuffed with hay

I think it looks great as a snuggly bed :) Having somewhere with a lower ceiling will definitely help them stay warm.

Just a thought, but if you were worried about floor space, you cold pop it up on it's own shelf! If you got a couple of heavy duty metal shelf brackets and screwed them to the down batons, then laid a scrap bit of board across it would sit on top and you could unscrew the brackets easy in spring. That's how I added a shelf to my run.

These are the style bracket I used: http://www.diy.com/nav/rooms/storag...y-Bracket-White-H-30cm-9796552?skuId=10187257
