Metro - Barney story

Just wondered if anyone read that story in the Metro today about Barney the rabbit. Apparently this burglar grabbed Barney the rabbit out of his owners arms and threw him into a river. The owner - luckily having some life saving skills - jumped into the river and fought against the current to rescue Barney and had to give him the kiss of life - and it all worked and I am assuming Barney is okay now.

Even better the burglar got put away for 4 months for cruelty :thumb:

I don't often read stories about cruelty -upsets me too much but I'm glad I read this one - happy ending

Is this the homeless man with the pet bunny? I cried so much reading that story!

Have just read full story - yes it was a homeless man. Thank god he kept his wits about him and was able to save Barney!

Awwww i'm so glad he managed to save Barney's life!

Can't understand why a beggar would have a rabbit on the streets with him but seems he is being cared for :wave:
