Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Fur everywhere and getting creaped?

Hi everyone!
Today I came home to find fur everywhere inside my bunny cage :? There is usually a little bit of fur, but today there were clumps of it! And then about 5 minutes later all 12 of them dashed up into a 3ft double hutch? (by the way that isn't all they have to sleep in ;)) They all seem a bit different and really scared, even after I gave them a massive pile of grass they were still really unsettled and staying near the safety of their hutch :( Is it possibly this freezing weather? Or something they have eaten or an illness? I am probably just being a paranoid bunny mummy but it's definitely better to be safe than to be sorry! :)

Yes, they are outside. I have checked all of them and everywhere and there seems to be no blood or anything. :thumb: I did think it was a predator at first but in my garden you can literally see everywhere and there were absolutely no other animals except my rabbits, maybe they just have brilliant imaginations

Maybe a cat or fox scared them and then disappeared or maybe even a bird landed on there housing area and freaked them all out :?
