Your set ups

I thought it might be a nice idea to post our set ups here whether you have a bun room, free range, shed, pen etc....

As we have some new users and some new to buns it might give them ideas and is just nice to see the variation ^_^

Then sadly Yuki passed away.... (my heart still aches for her...)

and we bonded yuri with a rescue bun jake and now the room is like this

you've made a lovely home for your bunnies!

Thank you, just wish yuki could have enjoyed the room more before she passed ..... keep thinking everytime I improve something "yuki would have loved this"

I know jake and yuri love it but she had a bit part of my heart

When Ted and Rosie fell out and would not rebond we set up the dining room like this

bunnyroom.jpg

They can still interact through the mesh but Ted is safe from Rosie trying to attack him as there's an inch gap on all the bits where she could potentially bite through

That looks a lovely indoor home :love:

This is one of mine where Hatter and Smudge live

well, I started with just Sebastian in this cage (this photo was staged, and the cage was actually being used as a hamster cage!) which is 3ftx2ft
038-6.jpg

then Sebastian and Mae moved into this which was a 5ft double hutch with an 8x4ft run.

then Mae died, and Imogen moved in but it started to fall apart so we made this which is where they are now  which is a 6x4ft shed with a 13x4ft run

This is how my bunny room is now, sadly had to split it because my trio didn't work, they therefore don't have as much room as they did but I always have somebun free-ranging when I'm home.

The before and after photos just prove we can improve so much as we learn more and were not perfect even if our set ups look great now we have made mistakes

Lot's of pictures!

I don't have any from when we first had Poppy, but she was in a 3ft triangle hutch for 6 months with a 7 x 4 run most days. Then she was in a 7ft double hutch and had free range of the garden most days.

She moved into a 4ft hutch with run under and a 7ft run on that until she was moved indoors.

We shut her in a 48inch crate over night but it wasn't enough room. Even with the puppy pen we attached it wasn't enough-

you have done brilliantly you have some wonderful set ups!

that photo of that hutch leo lived in for 5 years nearly made me cry bless him

This is an old post of mine from last year, I'll post some more recent photos of their current room setup soon.

I thought I'd do a post of my different setups so that when people ask I can just point them here.

Before I found RU... two indoor cages connected together - with running time on the landing
_IGP5148_CONV-vi.jpg

After finding RU... NIC cube enclosure - 5ft by 2'6'' by 2'6'' (used 32 panels + 2 for the shelf). This initially had Mini, Mischa and Nutmeg in and then Nutmeg and Smudge once the lops moved into my room.

Lops base... dog crate with extra shelf (they were never shut in this for extended periods of time, only for a few minutes while I hoovered)

Photo0456-vi.jpg

Now... free-range without any bases

Lionheads room...
Lino with blankets. They love the yellow cat tray with towel, makes a perfect sized bed for Nutmeg. The tunnel means Smudge can get from litter tray to his 'safe place' (under the table) quickly and 'safely' by his standards.

Storage in the ottoman...

Proofing... NIC panels

Lops room...

Litter tray. Cardboard box for a tunnel.

Mischa's ramp. Clear boxes at foot of bed - treat hay. Some of the black boxes hold spare blankies and bits.

Other side of the bed. Carrier which sometimes has newspaper in to dig and a duvet where they like to sleep at nighttime.

Blankie which is where they like to sleep during the day time. They also like to jump on the chair to get to my bed.

This is where all the food and cleaning up bits live.

And this is the second tunnel which goes under the bed so they can do a circuit.

HTH someone :)

Poppys first set up was a bit of a rush job, we had seen her in p@h and she needed a home, we had a spare 4ft hutch and only shut her in it at dark but we did know she would need much bigger accommodation:

I remember putting the pics on here of her new home and getting a really nasty comment from someone. I felt awful but in reality it was for a few weeks while we figured out the kind of home she wanted/needed and it was a lot better/bigger than what she had. Poppy was adopted by my son and he sold his playmobil to build her a new home in his summerhouse:love:
