  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Hi all:wave:
Has anyone ever been to this vets? Still looking to get little Eddie nuetered! Thanks!

Hi
Realised it s Highcliff Vets in Brantham - Essex!!! silly me!!

I know of them and would say, in my opinion, they are focused on the money than the animals and that they don't hold the knowledge necessary to look after rabbit sufficiently, however that is based on evidence from a few years ago. Was Tinsel's vet not an option?

Hi funnily enough it was the one that I ve taken my cat Baby and Veronica to - baby to have a
lump removed - which was supposed to be tested but they lost it and when I enquired about nuetering
Eddie said they don t give pain relief!

If you're willing to come as far as Brantham, then maybe heading a bit further down the A137 and using my vets might be an option? http://www.orwellvets.co.uk/ Those are my vets (Normally I see Charles or Katherine, but all are good at surgery), but they have a Branch on Ravenswood called Perfect Pet Care which might be a good option? You can drop him there and they transport him over to the hospital for you. http://www.perfectpetcare.co.uk/ Vets are there morning and evening.

Little Eddie

Just to say little Eddie has been booked in for his op next Thursday!
Thanks to Tinsel and Sky-O for info!!
