Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

EC question

No.

However, I have deifferent beliefs on this from most, but there are a lot of signs, sich as left hind leg weakness, urinary issues, renal failure, eye problems, etc.

Ok, the reason I ask is that Doris seems to be very unsteady on her feet, I've had other bunnies in the past who have had EC but they had headtilt and rolled as opposed to just seeming unsteady.

Doris is hardly moving , when she lost her partner last week I thought she was sulking/grieving but I think maybe theres more to it than that.

None of my ec bunnies had head tilts

Poor Doris, maybe the stress of losing her partner has lowered her immune system allowing something that was originally lurking to become active??

Hope she will be ok x

Aw, so sorry. It could be a slight reaction but best to get checked out.

My Katy lost Homer on 2nd May and was very quiet and went into statis 3-4 weeks later and took us about 2 weeks to get her back with us fully (she seemed to want to give up the will without him). I am pleased to say she is well now but I do think the statis was brought on by the stress. They all can show it in different ways but always best to get them checked by the vet.

My other bunny is currently being tested for EC as she is wetting but has no other symptoms (abx have not worked so far).

Could be EC or ear infection. Can you see any gunk down the buns ear canals?

Worth going to the vet for a checkup though.

as others have said - we have a bun at present tested very high on the active ec scale - only sign is wobbly leg at back -
