Bonding not going well

Hi all. My male rabbit is currently being bonded by an rspca lady. It was going well 2 days ago and penny was grooming eddie but its taken a turn for the worst. When penny tries to assert herself eddie makes the tiniest attempt to fight it and then penny goes for him and they end up circling trying to fight. Im not sure where to go from here. Id love penny and there is an option of having them in one large room but putting my puppy run between them? What would you do? The bonding has been going on since last monday. Oh and im in berkshire if that helps.
